We had a great time filming at Draganas beautiful wedding!

Some interesting facts are that we investing in more equipment for future weddings & we had time to film the limo from the back of my car with the Manfrotto suction grips & 6 thousand dollar camera attached.. was a big nerve racking thinking it could fall of at anytime but with 3 suction cuts it wasn’t going anywhere. I cant wait to film a horse and carriage this way & much more & as i invest in better & better ways of capturing wedding im really excited for the future weddings coming up! I remember how i felt at the time i like it was my first chance to really spoil her & i wanted to make an impression, not with money but just to show her a nice time, conversation, hugs & kisses, dinner & a little wine helped to ahahh.

We are actually dating for 1 month just casually when i thought id take her somewhere special and Ambrosia restaurant was beautiful, we had such a nice dinner & the waiters treated us so well..

When we dated 5 years ago i brought her gold earnings that day.. hey not bad for one month of dating but i had fallen in love with this woman & wanted to show hr i was serious. When i met Sali i knew she was the one & even told her one day she would be my wife.. against my better judgement to! I thought id scare her of but i felt inside it was true so i had to tell her anyway & well here we are a happily married photography team with a son living happily ever after doing what we love to do & we even get to work with each other!

Well on Saturday i wanted to spoil her as the past years have been so stressful! We have not had much of a break off photographing weddings & organizing out teams to take care of other weddings, we really do work very hard at what we do but Saturday i just wanted Sali to enjoy herself… she deserves it trust me.

Things have been tough lately not only mentally dealing wit our rapidly expanding business but the car has always been on its last month.. its been one of those things where something will break & id put it off till i had a chance to fix it and one thing after another it was telling me Shane i need a break toke me to the scrapyard. So with having to buy a new car amongst many other things that pop up i had to keep it simple.

I took Sali to a nice romantic spot near Parramatta, my plan was to have a small picnic & have a sax player play for us & we could dance a little till it got dark but i didn’t end up getting the picnic organized as it looked like rain plus we are both watching our diets & we are going from there to eat dinner at the seafood restaurant straight after that.

I took her to a place we had say years ago & asked her if she would dance with me in public, i said if only we had some music as my sax player came up behind her as i had held her so she couldn’t see him coming.  As soon as he started playing i seen a big smile on her face as she got all shy… was so worth it.

I had Adrian from our video team take some photos for us that i ltater processed to what you see below… he was very candid she didnt know he was there either but half way through i was looking at where he was & i started laughing cause he was in a bush & i could see the lens sticking out & he had a bag on his shoulders.. it was really funny so i started laughing & she found out he as there.

I had Stas the saxophonist play some of our songs like Endless love, some Kenny G stuff & amongst many other old love songs he played Careless whisper.. that was kind of funny but i was reminded of this funny as youtube guy! SAX MAN

After some dancing & chilling out at Paramatta we said goodby to the sax player Stas & Adrian followed us to take a few pictures of the rest of our special night as well as a little bit of video…

We sat in the same place at the restaurant, we had the same dish & although the staff had changed & Sali didnt get a rose on the way out like i thought she would have like last time (drats!) we had a great time & its so nice there they have water run down all the windows its very romantic i recommend you try it out – we had the seafood platter for 2 with lobster & stuff. i dont particularly like seafood by the way lol but Sali does… eww muscles.

I replaced a gift i gave Sali when we were dating. When we dating i thought we wouldn’t last because her parents didn’t want us to be together as we are obviously from different cultures & her religion didn’t allow outsiders however she didn’t really believe in the stuff they tell them so we ended up together anyway.. anyway 5 years ago i gave her a statue of the a couple dancing together as we did one night under the stars & over the years iv dropped & broken the statue (and gotten in alot of trouble for that to!!) So i replaced it with one that has music & turns when you wind it.

In one of the pictures im holding Sali & she is looking up, shes looking at the couples on the top of the bridge we were next to looking down at us saying oooooohhh how cute etc I felt a little shy but i know that woman at least Sali loved all the attention haha!

I could tell Zaklina has such high attention to detail when i arrived at 5pm, her so called backyard engagement party was nothing short of beautiful, they has a massive gazibo covering there backyard filled with different sweats & cakes.. yeh i wanted to go on an all you can eat spree but i had to keep in control!! ahahah jokes.

The food! The cooking did not stop all night & what a great job the family did with the food, i missed a few dishes they tried to get me to sit down & eat but it was a pretty full night of just taking photos so i didn’t want to waste there time. I did however have a plate of dinner (thank you so much guys) & some macaroons and other little sweats her sister brought us while we photographer her rings in her invitations room… it was actually my first time eating macaroons to & those little things.. YUM i loved them.. im hooked now.

Zaklina had her own Dj & so many guests danced the night away around and around me! I didn’t want to ruin there dance & get in the middle of there dance the whole night so i was ducking in & out now & then and getting photos from different angles. Bride with Veil

We actually went to Luna park for a little while. Usually you have to watch out for security because they will kick photographers out if your doing anything commercial or business orientated but its something im used to. Since photographers are aloud in there & brides are aloud in there.. we just went in separate like we didn’t know each other until everyone was in place then i shot till my heart was content then left hehe, it was alot of fun & Antonella had heaps of fun she was really looking forward to this most of the day..
